You may have picked up on the transition from solely outerwear focused content and FashionTech content to a discussion about the space industry and how fashion intersects with it, from the past to the present day.

The topic has been the subject of several workshops, presentations and guest lectures, and a research and community building initiative called FAAR. To connect the dots between those areas of interest and professional exploration, it seemed appropriate to share some more context, and hopefully inspire more with this conversation!

This conversation with Jude Pullen on his Laterally Speaking Vcast is a good intro into how my background in fashion became a pathway to design research and the space industry. We discuss the question "What if Picasso has gone to the Moon?" : how design and science intersect, and how space represents a platform for exploration on Earth, too.

Enjoy, and check out the other videos in the series! Iā€™m honored to be in such good company and to have had the opportunity to share this work with Jude, who is a very accomplished designer and educator whose work you might find interesting as well!
